Welcome to Copyforge ("Copyforge", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Copyforge website, applications, APIs, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

2. Subscriptions, Credits & Billing

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from Settings.
Credits or generation quotas reset on each billing cycle and do not roll over unless explicitly stated.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Taxes may apply based on your billing location.
We may change pricing on renewal with at least 14 days' notice via email or in-app notification.

3. Your Content & Generated Output

You retain ownership of the inputs (briefs, brand voices, source text) you submit ("Input"). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we assign to you all of our right, title, and interest in the AI-generated output produced for your account ("Output"). You are responsible for reviewing Output before use and ensuring it does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law.

You grant Copyforge a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Input and Output solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you. We do not train foundation models on your private inputs.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or sexually exploitative;
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
Produce spam, phishing, malware, or content that violates platform policies of social networks;
Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract underlying models or prompts;
Resell raw Service output as a competing AI generation API without a written agreement.

5. API & Extension Use

API keys and the Chrome extension are bound to your account and quota. You are liable for all calls made with your key. Rate limits and abuse protections apply; we may revoke keys that endanger Service stability or other users.

6. Email Communications

With your account you may receive transactional emails (security, billing, account notifications) and, if enabled, the weekly digest. You can opt out of marketing and digest emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or from your account settings. Critical security and billing emails cannot be disabled while your account is active.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party AI providers, payment processors, and infrastructure. We are not responsible for outages or content decisions made by those providers, but we will act in good faith to maintain the Service.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create legal risk for Copyforge or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data may be deleted after 30 days unless retention is required by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated Output may be inaccurate, biased, or otherwise unsuitable. You must review and edit Output before relying on it for commercial, medical, legal, or financial purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Copyforge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Copyforge harmless from any claims arising out of your Input, your use of Output, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for disputes is the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
